The Harlem Collective is proud to announce that we are the new home of the Harlem Tech Summit, a community organization that hosts conferences and networking events that advance the technology and start-up ecosystem in Harlem. This year, business, cultural and community leaders will meet to devise ideas to address the best way to close the opportunity gap and discuss the economic impact of racial inequity.

The 2020 Harlem Tech Summit is Wednesday, August 12 from 9AM to 5PM at the Harlem Collective and virtually. All Harlem Collective members are welcome to participate free by registering at the ticketing page found here.

Harlem Tech Summit was founded by Collective members Derrick H. Lewis and Eddie F. Cullen to provide a platform for leading thinkers and innovators in Harlem and beyond in order to provide opportunities to network, develop unique long-lasting culture that caters to the technology community, and expand the fields of engineering and technology in Harlem.

In Harlem, approximately 80% of its population has access to only 6.4% of loaned capital. According to “Project Diane”, from 2012 to 2014, out of 10,238 venture deals, only 24 went to Black women.
